Restore Yoga and Sound Immersion

Sunday 28th APR 2024: 4.30-7pm

Cost: $68

Restore yourself.

We all know that when we look after ourselves we are better able to serve those that need us. But how often do we carve out that time for ourselves?

Do you sometimes feel like you are pulled in different directions, out of balance, stressed, exhausted and disconnected? We all so often do whether it is through juggling parenting, work, illness, study (or all of the above) and we very rarely commit to recharging our batteries.

Be immersed in healing sounds while taking restorative yoga shapes to allow deep rest, relaxation and restoration. We will begin with meditation, ceremonial cacao, float away on a loud of props as you bath in the sounds. We'll end with bliss balls, tea and connection. Open to everyone.

Restorative yoga is a way of resetting the system, quieting the mind and nourishing the body.

Each shape is held for at least five minutes and props, such as bolsters and blankets, are used to support the body in the most comfortable position possible so that it can completely relax and let go. Gentle and supported twists, forward bends, backbends and inversions are practiced with modifications provided for individual needs.

Sound Healing works on a vibrational and energetic level. Everything is energy. Sound is energy. So when we immerse ourselves in the frequencies that resonate with our own capacity to restore ourselves and rebalance our energy anatomy, we are able to reach a deep state of relaxation and restoration.

The session will conclude with a sharing circle and an opportunity to connect with the group.

This practice is suitable for all levels and conditions and is particularly suitable for people with busy and stressful lives as a way of taking time to be still and rest or for people dealing with illness. The emphasis is on being rather than doing.

A special treat of bliss balls and home blended herbal tea will finish off a truly nourishing afternoon.

This is facilitated by Kylie Bertuch Haynes.
